Yay! I finally found the drivers and the card that I need to connect my large format scanner to my laptop. This means that I can scan layouts again without having to stitch them! Yay. Needless to say, I have been scanning recently made layouts and would like to share a few with you.
Half of these are made with older photos(think 2000'ish). I am trying to sort through the boxes of printed photos that clutter up my shelves. I know that I can't scrap them all, but I am at least trying to scrap (for each year): major holidays, each child's birthday, and any significant trips, get togethers, family events, etc. It's easier than it seems.
1. Since the pictures are already printed, there is no Photoshopping, printing, etc to do.
2. All I have to do is grab a stack, choose a few to work with, and then snatch up some scraps of paper that are laying around and get to work.
3. I am trying to keep them simple. My other goal is to use up tons of "scraps" older stickers, tags, ribbon, etc. I have so many cute things that are "half used" that I don't want to throw out, can't really sell them, and they are hard to store, so the solution must be- TO USE THEM!
SO these are my 3 tips on getting those older photos out of the box and onto the page. DO you have any tips to share? Leave me a comment :p

So I've been dealing with the same problem and I have found that if I mix something new with my old stuff I'm more inspired. Oh and I kinda envy you having all those pics printed. The part of scrapbooking that I like the least is the printing out the pictures part. :)
